About the Role

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving market access, trade and marketing outcomes for the Australian red meat industry across Greater China. Leading MLA’s regional operations, the position builds strong relationships with government, industry and commercial stakeholders, navigates complex regulatory environments, and develops strategies that strengthen market access and consumer demand. The role oversees a geographically dispersed team, manages budgets and governance requirements, and represents industry interests at senior levels across government and trade networks. Travel throughout the Greater China region is a key component of this highly influential position.

 

Our ideal Regional Manager – Greater China has:

  • 10+ year experience in international marketing, market access, trade, government relations or related fields, including leadership responsibility for teams and budgets.
  • Strong ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, self-managing priorities and challenges to achieve outcomes and meet KPIs.
  • History or demonstration of successfully dealing and/or negotiating with international stakeholders – industry & government.  
  • Language skills (written and spoken) in both English (native) and Mandarin (preferred).
